Located 3 hours drive north of Auckland, 30 minutes east of Whāngarei, or 1.5 hours south of the Bay of Islands, Tahi has three cottages available - Hiwi, Mara and Tara.

Hiwi Cottage

Hiwi is a private cottage set in the heart of Tahi with two bedrooms and bathrooms. 
Hiwi combines rustic, original charm with elevated interiors. Unwind cooking in the original kitchen, relax by the cosy fireplace and soak in our farm-style bathtub. This is our only house on the property with elevated sea views. Dine or simply relax on the terrace whilst enjoying expansive views over the ocean in complete privacy.

Accommodation costs include access to the many walks on Tahi, private beach access, as well as a direct contribution to the restoration and development of the ecological reserve.

Mara Cottage

Mara is a contemporary, four-bedroom, two bathroom cottage equally suited to families or couples. Set on the entrance to Tahi estate, Mara is surrounded by tranquil, sub-tropical gardens. Enjoy the manicured green lawns or expansive decks perfect for playing, relaxing or enjoying a BBQ. Light and spacious this house is a natural slice of paradise.

Tara Cottage

Tara cottage is set in a a wide expansive field on the on the oceanside entrance to Tahi’s eco-retreat. Small and cosy, Tara is simpler than Tahi's other accommodation options. There is one bedroom with a queen bed and the other bedroom has single bunk beds. With a fresh, relaxed feel, it’s full of character and lies close to the beach which is perfect for small families. Savour the sound of the sea as you relax into your surroundings.

Our walking tracks are open to the public on Sundays during the main summer holiday. The five self-guided walking tracks offer diverse lengths and scenery.
